Get in Where You Fit in!

Let's be realistic, preschoolers aren't interested in sitting still for long. This is why it is important to incorporate activities or reading into what the children are doing in the moment. I have personally followed kids in my classroom to where they were playing so I could read to them. The thing is, they might look up and listen, they may even come sit with you if it is something they are interested in, but the main point is to give them the opportunity to read with you and engage. Sometimes stopping and forming a circle just doesn't work out. Adapt to how your child learns instead of battling them on how you want them to learn.
